Have you ever swam out in the sea and not been able to see the bottom? All you can feel is the freezing cold water beneath your feet; all you see is dark blue water extending to infinity.
Imagine for one second descending into the blue, deeper and deeper with every kick and breath. The adrenaline kicks in and as the pressure builds, water compresses your chest. You’re scared, but there is something strangely inviting about the descent that makes it feel like you’re travelling to the center of the Earth. Looking ahead and all around you can see only a wall that drops for meters into the blackness below, and it is inviting, alluring. Welcome to the world of blue holes.
Effectively limestone sinkholes, or submarine caves, blue holes are given their name because of the contrasting deep blue of the hole and the lighter blue of the shallows around them. New York is the most populous city in the United States and the center of the New York Metropolitan Area, one of the most populous urban agglomerations in the world. The city is referred to as New York City or the City of New York to distinguish it from the State of New York, of which it is a part. A global power city, New York exerts a significant impact upon commerce, finance, media, art, fashion, research, technology, education, and entertainment. The home of the United Nations Headquarters, New York is an important center for international diplomacy and has been described as the cultural capital of the world.
Located on one of the world’s largest natural harbors, New York City consists of five boroughs, each of which is a state county. The five boroughs—The Bronx, Brooklyn, Manhattan, Queens, and Staten Island—were consolidated into a single city in 1898. With a Census-estimated 2011 population of 8,244,910 distributed over a land area of just 302.64 square miles (783.8 km2), New York is the most densely populated major city in the United States.
Under the Köppen climate classification, New York City experiences a humid subtropical climate nearing the humid continental climate and using the 0 °C (32 °F) threshold, it is the northernmost major city on the North American continent with the humid subtropical categorization. The area averages 234 days with at least some sunshine annually, and averages 58% of possible sunshine annually, accumulating 2,400 to 2,800 hours of sunshine per year.

Uyuni or Tunupa Salt Flat is located southwest of Bolivia, in Potosi; it´s surrounded by the Bolivian Altiplano (High Plain) and Los Andes. This salt flat is established as the world’s largest one, with an area of 12,000 square kilometers and lies at an altitude of 3,650 meters above sea level. 40,000 years ago, the area that is today the Uyuni Salt Flat was covered by prehistoric Lake Minchin and it has a salt depth ranging from 10 cm to 8 meters. The Salt Flat is composed of lithium, boron, potassium, magnesium, borax, sodium sulfate ulexite, it´s currently the largest lithium reserve in the world, it´s estimated to contain about 64 billion tons of salt and 25 thousand tons are currently pumped per year, in the nearby town of Colchani.

A landscape looks more lively and lush when photographed at sunset. The soft light brings life to subtle details.The time of sunset is defined in astronomy as the moment when the trailing edge of the Sun’s disk disappears below the horizon in the west. There are few things in nature as photogenic as the sky at sunset, especially nature. The rich bright gold, pink and orange colors make unusually beautiful pictures of nature illuminated by the sun.
